The author Ross Chan, goes by the name Yellow Optic, is a student in love in writing. Since he was 6, he had already shown the talent to write many creative stories using an extensive range of vocabulary, often capturing the attention of the readers with an inventive twist. Feeling unsatisfied by just posting stories on the Internet, he poured his heart and soul to work toward his biggest dream, a dream that has been harboured since the age of 8──to write a book.

Fool Me Twice is a book written by a teenager for teenagers. Kayla's search for friendship, trust and acceptance is perhaps the struggles often shared by many adolescents. Her deep sense of loneliness, being raised by a successful information technology entrepreneur, who loved her but couldn't afford the time, was artfully portrayed. The intelligently plotted cliffhangers, coupled with Kayla's adventures in an environment immersed with interesting technology, may bring upon a fantasy world many youths would resonate with.

There's only one week to go before Kayla Ferrule's twentieth birthday. Having disposed of her lying former friend Lance Denton, and befriended Miles Hector, who helped her along the way and is generally trustworthy, everything seemed to have fallen into place for her as her butler Luna Syracuse busily prepares the festivities. However, when Miles presents an unusual gift to celebrate her birthday, she realizes that almost all she knew about life was inherently inaccurate, and sometimes she will need to take her chances.

Yellow Optic

My name is Yellow Optic, and for those who know me in real life, Ross Chan. I started writing recreationally when I was twelve, when I was already the top of my grade for writing for three years. I decided to go big when I got my first ever 100% in my school paper, and finished my first novel when I was fifteen. I think the best part of being a writer is for others to pick up and understand the things I feel but otherwise don't share very publicly, and of course, having fun while doing it. It keeps me active, working hard, and prepared for other strenuous tasks in life.

Besides writing, I also enjoy making and watching videos. I'm a pool player and I was once in the Hong Kong representative team back in 2012. I also enjoy going for a few games in bowling, watching and making videos (though I'm crap at it), and being informed of the news.
