Life on earth evolves continuously. After several mass extinctions of species, approximately more than two million types of plants and animals are now confirmed on the planet. Yet, there is still an incredible diversity of species living here without being found. However, with population explosion - seven billion people cause rapid land use expansion, economic development, civilization and some other factors. These further lead to global warming and accelerate species extinction. Then, there are waves of natural disasters: volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunami, etc., which destroy our home…
Gradually, wildlife animals are disappearing for my camera, from my eyes. This book is presented to you, who love and care animals.

After two decades of establishing his career foundation in 1981, Dr. Leslie Chan Chi-yin has gotten an outstanding achievement. He then considered doing something special and meaningful. He found his interest in underwater photography in 1994. Since then, the plan has started from the ocean.
Dr. Chan has been looking for and taking pictures of marine life at various tourist attractions in different countries all over the world. Meanwhile he represented Hong Kong in an international biennial underwater photography contest in 1998 and 2000 at Norway and Egypt respectively. In the later, his photo "The Corals of Red Sea" was selected to be the world’s top ten. He was then inspired to dive and shoot continuously in his birthplace: Hong Kong. His photos have been used in investigation and research, in which some new species of marine life were found living in Hong Kong underwater. It was very encouraging! He therefore published "Marine Life of Hong Kong" as a souvenir.
In the past ten years and more, he has started a new page in his life: he leaves the ocean for land. He has spent even more energy and time on shooting wildlife on land than marine life.
