Pan Jinliang (潘金蓮) and Pan Chiao Yin (潘巧雲) are unfaithful to their husbands. Being disgusted at her misshapen husband, Pan Jianliang is seduced by a lecher and commits a murder. Pan Chiao Yin has an affair with a monk. Both are killed eventually. Their stories are tragic, vital and full of pathos. Selected and retold by WONG Sik-hau from the famous Chinese ancient novel “Water Margin” (水滸傳), this book, with the author’s fluent usage of vocabulary and idiomatic English, demands to be read.
作者兒子花了九年時間整理,加插逾3000條注釋。
